A diverse range of FREE lunchtime performances in Cafés and lunch spots within the Walls.
The first ever centre for Culture Bites was the Verbal Arts, which has expanded over the years to now include eight cafe venues throughout the week. Culture Bites will also take place Monday to Friday at The Artisan, London Street, Java at Ferryquay Gate by Artillery Street, Louis’s on Shipquay Street, Boston Tea Party in the Craft Village (off Shipquay Street or Magazine Street), Cafe Nervosa at the Nerve Centre on Magazine Street, Austin’s Department Store on the Diamond, and at the Cafe Del Monde by Shipquay Gate Now moved into the Craft Village (off Shipquay Street or Magazine Street) in the square to the rear of the Tower Museum. As diverse a range of music performance as you will find anywhere this summer.
Bloom's Café - Verbal Arts Centre
The Verbal Arts Centre has been a long-standing lunchtime venue for the Festival, hosting a series of diverse entertainment at Bloom’s Café each day. This year lunchtime activities take place from Saturday 6th August from 1pm, and Monday August 8rd - Friday August 12th at the same time as the other venues 12.30pm-2.30pm.
